Junior Customs Clerk

About the role:
The main role of Junior Customs Clerk is to help the organization to stay compliant with the new customs regulation provided by the Union Customs Code. You will need to learn export, import, and transit requirements. In addition, your basic tasks will include checking the correctness of all required customs documents and advising recommended solutions to our agencies and their customers when needed. You will work with a team primarily located in the UK.
Your daily tasks will focus mostly on:
- Following group customs standard operating processes
- Facilitating the transmission and clearance or transfer of cargo and confirming that all necessary data and documents are available for entry
- Resolving standard queries and issues related to relevant processes
- Completing import/export declarations submitted in the name and for the account of clients
- Ensuring daily operations are carried out according to set targets and deadlines, in compliance with corporate policies and work instructions
- Maintaining good working relations with customers and local business units
- Striving to improve internal procedures and processes to reduce transactional costs and handling time
About you :
We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree in logistics, economics or a related field
- Fluency in English
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in working with people
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
- A positive attitude and a good sense of humor :)
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evening hours (up to 1 a.m.)
- Readiness to work from our Poznan office at least 2 days per week
